A Memorable Encounter at SUSPENSE! — January 2017
Sometimes the perfect piece of art finds exactly the right collector. That’s precisely what happened in January 2017, when Lisa of Random Alchemy had an unforgettable encounter with Aaron Goodwin, star of the popular paranormal television series Ghost Adventures.
The occasion was SUSPENSE!, an art show celebrating the mysterious, macabre, and wonderfully unconventional. Among the artwork on display was one of Lisa’s haunting creations: a striking depiction of a dark-haired woman gazing intensely at a human skull. With its gothic atmosphere, dramatic composition, and unmistakable vampire-inspired aesthetic, the painting captured the attention of a very enthusiastic collector.
That collector was none other than Aaron Goodwin.
Known for his adventures investigating haunted locations and exploring the unexplained on Ghost Adventures, Aaron also has a passion for collecting vampire-themed artwork. When he discovered Lisa’s piece, his excitement was immediate.
“I Love Vampires!!! I collect them! I love this, Oh man it is so good.” — Aaron Goodwin
For Lisa, hearing such an enthusiastic reaction to her work was a wonderful moment. Aaron purchased the painting, which Lisa personally inscribed to him, making the acquisition even more special.
The accompanying photograph captures the excitement of that encounter, with Aaron proudly holding his new artwork alongside Lisa.
At Random Alchemy, art is about more than what hangs on a wall. It’s about imagination, emotion, storytelling, and the connections that happen when a creation resonates with someone.
This memorable sale remains a wonderful chapter in Lisa’s artistic journey and a reminder that sometimes the strange and unusual find their perfect home.
